The choice in churches is almost limitless: gothic churches, with richly decorated walls and ceilings, churches from the Renaissance era or Romanesque churches, whose special fascination lies in their simplicity.
From small private chapels, situated in private vineyards or castles, to isolated country churches and parish churches in the bigger municipalities and cities – you can choose from a broad range of churches.

A few important issues for your information::

• In Italy both catholic and protestant weddings can be celebrated.

• A spiritual or symbolic weddings can also partly take place in a church.

• A religious wedding can also be celebrated if one of the spouses is no longer a member of the Catholic Church.

• The services of an interpreter are not always welcome at a religious wedding.
It is therefore very important to decide at an early stage, if a priest/minister from your hometown can travel with you.
Otherwise we may have to provide a priest/minister who can hold the ceremony in your mother-tongue

• In Italy The Catholic Church contracts matrimony as the so called concordat wedding, This means that the religious ceremony also includes the civil ceremony and the constitution
does not require the religious ceremony to be anticipated by the civil wedding.
However, not every local priest allows this formula for weddings of persons who don’t belong to his parish, so this will have to be requested and evaluated case by case.

• For a catholic wedding ceremony you should decide if you would like to have a liturgy service or a nuptial mass.
You must therefore decide if you would like to have a wedding with or without Holy Communion. .

• The availability of the church has to be arranged with the local priest and priest's office..
